ARTIST BIO

Germaine is an art student who was born in South Africa and migrated to Australia in 1985. She started taking art lessons at the beginning of her expat life in 1999, under the tutelage of artist Jean Jones in the Netherlands. Three years later she moved to Buckinghamshire in England, and had art lessons with artist John Wilkinson. In 2003, Germaine moved to Surrey and commenced art lessons with Caroline Tate (great great granddaughter of Sir Henry Tate). Participated in the 2005, Art for Life, a contemporary art event for Cancer Research, in London.

In 2005, Germaine returned to Melbourne, Australia where she joined the Brighton Art Society and was under the tutelage of Noelle Stynes, an Artist Illustrator. In 2010 Germaine participated in the Pink Lady Art Exhibition.


Germaine had art lessons in 2011 at Hampton Art Supplies under the tutelage of Vivi Palegeorge, an Artist in all mediums. In 2016 Germaine participated in the Bayside Art Show in Sandringham.

In 2020, participated in the "All Along the Bay" Online Art Exhibition organised by Sandybeach Centre, Bayside and won 3rd prize for my art work titled From a Distance.

At present (2024), Germaine is taking art lessons with Judy Waters, Bayside Artist who specialises in contemporary acrylics/mixed media.
