ARTIST NOTES: In the hills to the north of the Cote d'Azur region of Provence lies the old town of Vence, the location of the "Chapelle du Rosaire de Vence" made famous by Matisse. In the centre of the historic part of the town is its old village square. The mild evenings of the Provencale summer make this a pleasant spot to enjoy the local cuisine, washed down with a few glasses of Rose.
